Fantastic resources for historians and genealogists. Lovely new building with modern facilities and knowledgeable, helpful staff.
Spacious and modern archive and worth a visit. I wish the staff were singing from the same hymn sheet. One rather brusque lady told me that digital photos were 5 pounds EACH! But a guy at the desk told me it was only a one time 5 pound fee. Other than this the staff are wonferfully friendly and helpful.
We came for the dinosaur craft day. Apparently most of the black country also had the same idea. It would have been more enjoyable had it not been so busy but my boys enjoyed it regardless. Easy to find, easy to park and free entry. Plus it's just down from Castle Gate so it's easy to find somewhere to eat afterwards. Will be coming again when it's not so busy so we can see everything in more detail.
Great place for people of all ages to learn about Dudley and the history of the black country
I'm not even going to try again. Off a dual carriageway. About 12 parking spaces. Couldn't stop. Had to turn left onto said busy road. Came to cross roads. Couldn't turn around. Disaster. Loved the old museum. Can't see why they've moved it to somewhere so inaccessible.
