Called in for Sunday dinner said they were fully booked, 7 tables vacant and they remained that way the duration we stayed for a drink
BEST CHICKEN WINGS AROUND!!!! lovly atmosphere smiley friendly staff,service is nicely run and effeciantly.. i recommend if you have spice tounge try chicken wings or chilli prawns they are beautiful by taste and presentation
Since reopening in October 2018 this pub has now been taken to a new level. The old place had been allowed to fall from grace, but now under new ownership it's a shinning star! The pub has been cleaned up and given a fresh lick of paint. The drinks selection is now better than ever, in particular the real ales. The food has been moved to a level that you'd expect to be in higher price bracket, but still remains at a fairly low price. The staff are friendly and helpful. This place is now well worth a visit again. I can highly recommend the T bone steaks.
Visited here tonight, our first visit since re-opening. Food was tasty i had the sausages with creamy mash only drawback was it was advertised *with seasonal vegetables*, I never had any vegetables, this was brought to the attention of the staff but nothing was done about giving me any. The place was lovely and warm and welcoming (use to eat with our coats on), Tables had obviously been re varnished and was clean , not sticky as before.. The dessert menu was a let down was hardly any variety. No cheesecake,no trifle, no pavlova, sticky toffee pudding. otherwise a nice pleasant evening and will be going again
Great selection of real ale. Good food with friendly staff. Nice atmosphere in the pub will definitely go back.
