What can I say! Have had a rough ride up until now. After my second shoulder surgery I chose to get help from Stuart and his team. I have had many issues since 2016. I initally found Dudley Physio Clinic after trying an alternative route to help with my ongoing shoulder issues. Tarn was a great help. Unluckily I had to have surgery again and a partial rotator cuff repair aswell. Since then Stuart has been looking after me. His approach to dealing with patients is amazing and I can say that as I have seen many physiotherapists and sports physicians over the past 2-3 years. It had been 6 weeks post op now and I am following all that Stuart has been telling me.I am sure the Clinic and its staff will continue to provide excellent service. Best wishes
I was doing exercises from YouTube for months with no improvement; then Stuart identified the root problem and gave a short routine to correct it. My shoulder was feeling better within days. He only recommends repeat visits if necessary.Brilliant service and really knowledgeable. Explained the cause and treatment clearly and simply. I would highly recommend.
I slipped on a muddy bank while visiting relatives in the Brierley Hill area in mid-March.I was seen by an ambulance crew who advised me that nothing was broken but a visit to the hospital was likely to lead to a long wait.I couldnt put weigh on the leg and definitely couldnt drive back to my home in the South West.Having used Dudley Physiotherapy Clinic previously (more than two decades earlier), when I was a member of Stourbridge Cycling Club, I checked on Google to see if Toby and the clinic were still in existence. It was and made an appointment and saw Stuart Elwell.During the consultation he gave me a thorough examination and was spot-on with his diagnosis that I had ruptured my quadriplegic tendon.He said that I would need to see my GP and that it was likely I would be referred to a consultant and would need an operation to repair the damaged tendon, outlining the course of treatment/support I could expect.As a keen cyclist I asked how soon I would be able to ride my bike and he advised it would not be for at least three months after surgery!It was later confirmed on a referred visit to Weston General Hospital, where I live, that it was an 80 per cent rupture of the tendon.The detailed reference note prepared by Stuart was used by both my GP and the consultant in reviewing the extent of the injury and confirming the damage (complemented with an X-ray and ultra sound at WGH).An operation was booked for me; the injured/repaired knee put in an adjustable angle brace, which enabled gradual bending of the knee over the course of several weeks. This was complemented by physio at the hospital and the use, initially of two and then one crutch.I am currently attending a weekly knee clinic at Weston General Hospital but have in the meantime clocked up more than 300 (steady) miles on my bike Stuart was spot-on with his advice that it would be at least three months before I would be back in the saddle.Even though I have been receiving treatment and support in the South West where I live Stuart has remained in touch providing support and encouragement.I have used the clinic twice and the support received has been outstanding and I have no qualms about recommending them. In fact a neighbour in my street in Weston-super-Mare, who is a keen runner and who has a longstanding knee problem - said that he was going to contact Stuart/the clinic to seek advice and arrange a visit.The staff are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to put first-time visitors at ease at what can be a stressful and worrying time.I am looking forward on a future visit to the West Midlands to dropping into the clinic in Parsons Street in Dudley to say a big thank you to Stuart and the team.
