Buffery Park is an historic little park which continues to serve the community even as it changes its identity. It used to have a wonderful glass house/conservatory just near the entrance on Blackacre Road. Wouldn't survive in these times though would it?

Nice open space park, usually very well maintained and clean. Basketball and tennis courts avaliable, plus some outdoor gym equipment and kids swing and slides area

It depends what time you go. It's a small park but has everything you need for kid's play area and exercise. After a certain time in the summer though its like an extended family meeting place. Adult women take up all the swings when they can see younger children about. Also thanks to the local people who volenteer to litter pick the park is kept clean. I rarely see dog fouling dispite loads of people walking dogs. This is great especially when kids play in parks. Been to supposedly nicer/posher parks where everywhere you look your avoiding it. It's a nice little community park.

Buffery Park is one of the oldest parks in the Borough built on the old mines it was built in 1897 by the Grazebrook family . It still has many of its original features like the layout and in it day was the main planting park for the whole of the Borough has well has a fantastic pavilion . The park has real community feel about it and plenty of locals walk their dogs daily and the local Army cadets train there once a week, the Friends group are doing a fantastic job redeveloping park , yes there are one or two issues but there on all parks , its also one of only 6 parks in the Borough with Green flag status.

This is a lovely little urban park with mature trees, children's play areas and an outdoor gym. There is a 1km path around the perimeter for walking or running and a well used football pitch. It also has the Paradise centre which is used for various events organized by the friends group. It's a pleasant little oasis with many park benches from which to enjoy a bit of outdoor time
